Multi-point fuel injection, a Direct Ignition system, and a Drive-by-Wire throttle system help improve the engine's performance, fuel economy, and responsive five-speed automatic. The powerplant posts fuel economy numbers of 25/36 mpg. The engine runs on regular unleaded fuel. Antilock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution come standard.
